Launched at the LGA Conference, the LG Inform App, created by the Local Government Association, provides quick and easy access to up-to-date data about your council and how it compares to others. The newest version of the app is now live on Google Play and the App Store.

The LG Inform App presents a curated sub-set of 110 up to date items for quick reference. Timely notifications and alerts as new data is published allow users to stay updated.

The data in this app is intended to support informed discussion, or allow you to ask questions, but does not provide definitive conclusions. This is because performance can be impacted by factors outside of councils’ control (for example, the number and proportion of older people in an area, or the type of housing, or level of deprivation), or because the council may prioritise certain metrics over others due to political or strategic considerations.

The metrics are taken from various published national data collections: source information for each metric is listed under the detailed view. You may wish to investigate the data sources further to locate other similar data.

The LG Inform App forms part of a suite of tools including LG Inform and LG Inform Plus; all are governed by this User Policy. The LG Inform App was developed by Flywheel and powered by the LG Inform Plus API, enabled by Placecube.
