2021 Census data in LG Inform
We were delighted to see last week the Office for National Statistics (ONS) publish the first results from the Census 2021. The new data are at the local authority level and include rounded population and household estimates by sex and five-year age bands. We have uploaded this release into LG Inform and created a report for each area to provide you with:
- quick and easy access to the 2021 results,
- how this has changed since 2011 and
- how you compare to your region and England as a whole.
The report uses the familiar LG Inform format and presents the data using a variety of chart types, tables and maps – you can use this report in its entirety, share it with colleagues, link to it from your website, or embed parts or all of it on your website to share with your communities.
Visit our LGA Research Report – Usual Resident Population by Sex and Age for Your Area – to view examples of the new data for your area and benchmark your data against others.
For a listing of all new and updated Census metric types available in LG Inform, follow this link. Just use the modifiers to tune the data into your area and a comparison group of your choice.
ONS will release additional data at a more granular level, including Wards, in the coming months. As this data becomes available, we will add it to LG Inform and LG Inform Plus accordingly and share the data and new/updated reports with you.
